Years ago, it was common to find locally spun wool made by Kenyan artisans. Our constant mission is to find local craftspeople who share our passion for the natural fiber arts, as well as those determined to reinvigorate this important trade. We believe that handmade goods add a much-needed spark of joy and value to life.
Our Rift Valley Yarn is our flagship product, and we spent months researching and connecting with farmers and spinners to create this unique yarn. Our wool is seasonally sheared from sheep raised in the Rift Valley, as well as private farms on the foothills of Mount Kenya. Brought by the bale to Nairobi, a cooperative of women do the admirable work of hand carding, spinning and dyeing the wool. We are proud to bring this product to your home, a result of many hardworking farmers and artisans.
We are beyond excited to offer a collection of handspun wool that is dyed with the natural colors of plants. Available in 6 colorways, this is a unique and special treat as the wool is natural and eco-friendly. Made with love and care, this yarn has a beautiful stitch definition when you knit or crochet.
