Container Gardening Class

Have you always wanted to learn more about becoming a successful hobby gardener? This class is for you! Learn the basics to keep your plants happy and healthy. We will be discussing care for vegetables, fruits, herbs and trees. Whether on a window ledge or a sunny corner of the balcony, there’s always a little something you can do to grow a plant and brighten up your day.

Water, Drainage, Types of Containers, Nutrition, Feeding, TLC, Potting mix, Mulch

Suggested Supplies to Bring:
Garden gloves, any containers that you’d like advice on, photos of your plants that you have concerns for.

The 1,500/- class fee includes a free plant gift. 500/- per ticket will be donated to Seedballs Kenya, regreening with indigenous trees.

About your teacher: Uche Kaigwa enjoys sharing his love of plants and the natural world with others. He farms professionally (organic coffee and more!) and is involved in building soils on a daily basis. Uche is a certified permaculture trainer and have experience teaching how to grow things in different environments. He is also an avid horticulturalist, member of the KHS (Kenya horticulture society) and cares for many potted plants that he grows from cuttings, seeds and seedlings.
