Wool Workshop

Join us as we showcase the work of our talented wool processing artisans. You’ll see the basic steps that bring our Rift Valley Wool from “Sheep to Shawl”, a set of techniques that cover this traditional processing of natural fibers. Enjoy a demo of washing, carding and processing raw fleece for spinning into yarn. A demo of spinning will show you the special skills needed to twist natural wool into long threads, ready for your knitting and crochet projects. Then we will explain the types of dyes used and test some small batches of wool dyes.
