Beginner Embroidery Class

Does this cold weather make you want to curl up by the fire with a new hobby? We are excited to offer beginner embroidery classes, taught in the comfort of your own home.
In this class, you’ll learn all the basics of hand embroidery. You’ll complete two beautiful samplers that will teach you different stitches. In addition to stitches, you’ll learn about hoops, floss and fabric, as well as how to make and transfer patterns and finish your embroideries for hanging in hoops.
The class includes a beginner kit with 2 colors of thread, a hoop, a needle, threader, and two pieces of cotton fabric.
2,000/- per person, maximum of 6 students per private class.

Beginner Knitting Classes @ The Woman Shop


This October, join us for a one hour class covering the basics of knitting. A beginner knit kit is included with your fee. This class is geared towards ages 15 and older – stay tuned for kids classes coming up soon.

The perfect activity for a group of people who want to relax and learn something new. Perfect for a team building activity, kids outing or bridesmaids afternoon. Creative classes range from paper crafts, sewing, embroidery and anything you can think of!

Knitting Class


Go from novice to knitter in this beginner 2 hour class. Students will be introduced to the basics of knitting, how to cast on and make the knit stitch, as well as an overview on yarn weight and needles. The class fee includes all supplies needed for those new to knitting – our “Learn to Knit Kit” has needles, a ball of yarn, a simple pattern and a resource card. Maximum of 12 people accepted in a group class. Class location and date are determined upon booking, please indicate in the purchase notes if you have a preferred date/time to schedule.

Kombucha Home Brewing Session


Learn how to brew your own kombucha or polish up your home-brewing skills, all from the comfort of your very own kitchen. We will educate you on teas and flavors, and show you how to make each batch a fizzy success. You will taste a variety of home-brew samples, and will be able to ask any kind of brewing-related question. The class fee includes a teacher coming to your home kitchen with all supplies needed: a live Kombucha SCOBY, black tea, sugar, glass jars for brewing and 2nd fermentation as well as simple recipes.
